Build a Strong Foundation in Editing Skills with Adobe Premiere Pro.

There are many benefits to knowing to knowing how to confidently capture video and sound as a photographer. It is integral to all aspects of the industry, from editorial storytelling to high-end advertising.

Adobe Premiere Pro is part of the Creative Cloud suit of professional applications. It is industry-leading video editing software for film, TV and the web. It is tightly integrated with other Adobe programs such as Photoshop, After Effects and Audition.

It’s an exciting time to create video footage and publish your work in the ever-expanding marketplace for moving image.

 

Course Content 

This eight-week program will utilise remote learning via Zoom. It is packed with detailed instruction both live and off-line. You will have access to video tutorials and other content as well as teacher and peer feedback.

Complete exercises designed to further your knowledge of capturing video and sound, and gain a comprehensive understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro. Learn how to hide jump-cuts with b-roll, use key-frames and effects, use green screen, multicam, adjust audio, add text, apply grading and much more!

You will choose a project and develop it over the duration of the course, culminating in a polished production ready for publication.

Entry Requirements

  • A passion for photography & videography.
  • An intermediate skill in photography.
  • Competent use of a DSLR or mirrorless camera: An understanding of shutter speed and aperture.
  • General photography skills: An understanding of composition, use of light, the ability to develop photographic concepts and choose subject matter.

 

Equipment Checklist

  • DSLR, mirrorless camera, or smartphone (recent model).
  • Tripod
  • A computer and internet connection
  • An Adobe CC subscription that includes access to Premiere Pro.
  • Lapel microphone
