Mia is the 3rd year Commericial Major teacher at Photography Studies College (Melbourne)
Mia has been a lecturer for the past 10 years, and was previously the Course Coordinator of Photography at Holmesglen Institute. Mia has guest lectured at RMIT (AU), Deakin University (AU) and guest speaker at National Gallery of Victoria, Lasalle Collage of The Arts, Jacky Winter Art Talks
Mia is a freelance commercial/editorial photographer who has worked for The New York Times, The Age, Yen, The Monthly, Frankie, Rolling Stone, The Saturday Paper, Qantas, Virgin Atlantic, City of Melbourne, Chunky Move and other Australian and international publications /companies. Mia has collaborated with some renowned people including writer Helen Garner, Chef Heston Blumenthal, Musicians Courtney Barnett, Paul Kelly, Coco Rosie. Director Emma Freeman and contemporary visual artist Patricia Piccinini.
Mia has also been shortlisted for the Bowness Photography Prize at the Monash Gallery of Art, Iris Photographic Portrait Prize, Moran Portrait Prize, Head On Portrait Prize and various other prizes. Mia won the Centre Of Photography Portrait prize in 2011.
Mia was awarded the RMIT Vice Chancellors Travel Grant and represented Australia at Tropical Lab in Singapore. In 2016 Mia was selected to attend the Studio Kura Residency in Japan. Mia regular shows her work in both solo and group exhibitions.
