Teaching experience

Clare has taught photographic practice for the past 7 years, previously at RMIT University and Monash University. Clare has delivered a range of subjects across all year levels from first year to Honours, encompassing both technical skills acquisition and conceptual and theoretical development.

Professional experience

Clare is a practicing artist with an extensive exhibition history. Recent exhibitions include Entre Nous at the Centre for Contemporary Photography (CCP) 2018, Unfinished Business at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) 2018.

In 2018 Clare published her first book with Perimeter Editions, Never Standing on Two Feet. She has been shortlisted numerous times for the William & Winifred Bowness prize, as well as the Churchie Prize, the MAMA National Photography Prize, and the Substation Contemporary Art Prize. Her work is held in public and private collections nationally, including Artbank, The National Gallery of Victoria, Monash University, and RMIT University.

From 2010-2014 Clare was the co-owner of Rae & Bennett, a dedicated printing studio and gallery servicing artists and photographers.
