What pre-requisites are there when applying for the full-time courses?

Generally the process involves an interview and submission of folio. *Each course has it's own information page that is relevant to the course requirements.

What is the class timetable and are there classes available?

Most 'Part Time' classes are from 6pm–9pm Monday to Thursday evening and day classes on Friday between 10am–5pm. We also have occasional Saturday classes and weekend workshops.

What outcomes can I expect from the course after graduation?

When I start the course what equipment do I need to have?

Digital SLR Camera is preferred and the Adobe Photographers package, which comes with a student discount.

Can I get government financial support for my course?

You may be eligible for Government subsidy for the Certificate IV in Photography and Photo Imaging and Diploma of Photography and Photo Imaging. FEE Help loans are available for the Bachelor of Photography and Master of Arts Photography courses.

What payment options available for domestic and international students?

We offer discounts when a full upfront payment is made for part-time courses or monthly instalments. You may be eligible for Government assistance for your full-time course.

I live in country Victoria, is it easy to get to PSC?

PSC is a couple of tram stops away from Southern Cross Station, an easy access point for most traveling via Metro or V-LINE public transport. Just hop on the 96 (stop at City Road stop) or 109 (stop at Southbank tram depot stop) tram lines and you'll be there in just a few minutes. There are also many parking options available near the campus in South Melbourne.

How do I get a concession card for public transport?

Student cards are printed upon enrollment, then you can fill out a PTV Tertiary Student ID form complete with photo ID. We have copies of this form available at reception.

Although I'm not a student am I allowed to attend the Image Makers Seminars and Workshops offered by PSC?

Yes! Image Makers Seminars are open to all, you just need to book your ticket via Eventbrite. For specific workshops the intake information and requirements are available via our website under 'Workshops and Tours'

Do you have dark room facilities at PSC?

The PrintShop @ PSC provides high-end Imacon/Hasselblad film scanning facilities and Epson V850 Pro film scanners for student use.

PSC also partners with The Fox Darkoom which provides discounted workshops and darkroom access to PSC students and graduates.
