Cass started taking photographs in secondary school, shooting on film and developing the film & prints in the darkroom on her own. Upon finishing school, her year 12 photography was exhibited at the Melbourne Museum. It was at that moment she realised she wanted to do photography as a career. She went on to study the Bachelor of Photography and graduated with an award for excellence! In her own words: “I haven't looked back since!”
In her final year Cass was a finalist in the Photobook Melbourne Photography Award and had her work published in twelve different journals and magazines. As well as the Melbourne Museum, she he has also had her work exhibited in a large range of venues including at the Centre for Contemporary Photography, Queen Victoria Womenʼs Centre and the Asia Pacific Photobook Archive.
