Where is PSC?
PSC is located in Southbank, in the heart of Melbourne's arts and recreation precinct, within walking distance of the city centre and close to public transport. Often described as the 'world's most liveable city', Melbourne is the second largest city in Australia and the capital of the southern state of Victoria. It enjoys a moderate and comfortable climate conducive to a leisurely and outdoor lifestyle. Located on Port Phillip Bay, water sports abound - sailing, swimming and wind surfing are all well catered for. Wide streets and boulevards make Melbourne an easy and attractive city to explore on foot and an accessible public transport system allows easy movement around the city.
It has a diverse multi cultural population of approx 4 million and offers a safe, comfortable and cosmopolitan lifestyle. The city offers an abundant supply of galleries, quality restaurants, outdoor cafes, open-air markets and fresh produce. International students will find a culture catering for a range of culinary tastes with a variety of festivals, sports, entertainment and a vibrant music scene. Melbourne also has a worldwide reputation as a major centre for photographic education!
Southbank provides a convenient and exciting central city location. It is within walking distance of a variety of art galleries, the picturesque Royal Botanic Gardens and the Victorian Arts Centre. Nearby suburbs such as St Kilda and Fitzroy provide an interesting array of street markets and cafes.

GETTING AROUND
Melbourne has an extensive public transport system of trams, trains and bus services. From Melbourne's central railway station - the Flinders Street Railway Station - it is only a 5 minute walk to PSC. There are also many cycling paths and dedicated road lanes, making cycling another popular means of transport for a number of our students.
