This semester our final year photojournalism major students have been busy connecting with industry, check out the blog for an update on their creative workshop and recent industry guests.

Our students have regular contact with industry professionals throughout our course and particularly in final year through our well-established mentor program, industry events and guest speakers. At this year's event in April 2014 we had six very experienced professional photographers present their work and reflect on how the mentor relationship assisted in developing work, career opportunities and their own practice.

The PSC graduation is strongly supported by industry and our regular award sponsors include: The Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP), and ACMP, Adobe, Sun Studios, Borge’s Imaging, Kayell and Irwin & McLaren and Sally Brownbill.

Both the Bachelor of Photography and the Advanced Diploma of Photography courses are recognised by the peak industry body the AIPP and graduates of both courses are eligible to apply for full membership of the following professional bodies:

AIPP
Australian Institute of Professional Photography

ACMP
Advertising, Commercial and Magazine Photographers

MEAA
Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance

APA
Australian Photojournalists Association

NAVA
National Association of Visual Arts

Graduates of PSC’s Advanced Diploma of Photography are now able to upgrade their qualification to the Bachelor of Photography at PSC via the one year pathway program.

A credit transfer arrangement with RMIT University enables graduates to undertake a degree conversion in either BA Photography or Fine Arts.
