ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

International students require a sound level of English to undertake the Advanced Diploma of Photography course. Future students can find more information on the International Application Form. Applicants from non-English speaking countries may need to undertake a special test in order to provide evidence of their English language proficiency. The type of English test required is the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). The IELTS is divided into four subjects: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. The individual subtests scores are added together and averaged to obtain an “overall Band Score”. The overall Band Score required by PSC is level 6.0. This is a pre requisite for course entry. Information about IELTS and the location of the numerous testing centres around the world can be obtained at the following web sites: www.ielts.org.

More information about this test can be obtained from the counsellors at the Australian Education Centre. If you do not have a Centre in your country, information is also available from the Australian Embassy nearest you. Private educational agents can also assist you with these matters.
